More than 120 people attended a prayer service Wednesday night for Andrew Boldt at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish in West Bend. According to Father Nathan Reesman who is speaking on behalf of the family, Boldt attended the parish's school for his last few years of grade school. One of his instructors, Terry Gardon, who teaches seventh- and eighth-grade math, said she remembers Boldt as a sharp student who quickly understood the lessons and then helped others. Boldt was the son of James and Mary Boldt of West Bend and graduated from Marquette University High School in 2010. His older brother, Erich, graduated in 2007 and his younger brother, Nathan, is a senior and will graduate in May. The school celebrated a Mass on Wednesday morning to pray for Boldt and his family and will celebrate another Mass on Thursday afternoon. Funeral services for Andrew Boldt are still being finalized, and Reesman said Boldt's mother had asked him to thank everyone attending the service in West Bend for their support. Meanwhile, 23 year old Cody M. Cousins, is accused of shooting Boldt and is due to make his initial hearing Thursday afternoon at Tippecanoe County Jail.
