1/29 West Bend East High School Football Coach Named

West Bend East High School named Jeff Rondorf as the head football coach for the Suns.  Rondorf has worked for the West Bend School district as East High School's Athletic Director for the past eight years.  With his new coaching position, Rondorf will return to classroom teaching in the Business Education Department, starting in fall of 2014-15. Rondorf replaces Scott Mindel who resigned following 20 years with the East football program and two years as head coach.
"We are excited to add the coaching talents of Jeff Rondorf to West Bend East High School," said Jim Curler, West Bend East Principal and Director of Secondary Education. "Jeff's commitment to provide exceptional learning opportunities for our students both on and off the field will add value to the football program here at East. We chose Jeff not just based on his experience, but because he is passionate and committed to West Bend East Football." Rondorf brings 20 years of coaching experience to the Suns, with 14 years at the high school level and six years as head football coach at Cedar Grove/Belgium High School. Rondorf took a struggling program at Cedar Grove/Belgium and led them to three conference championships.
Rondorf is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, where he played football as a quarterback and wide receiver on a three-time winning conference championship team. He is a three-year letter winner. Rondorf is a graduate of West Bend East High School and a lifetime resident of West Bend. A decision on Rondorf’s replacement for the East High School Athletic Director will not be made until later date.
