1/8 2900 Residents Lose Power in West Bend Tuesday Afternoon

About 2900 people in the West Bend area mainly on the southern end of the city lost power at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon including the WBKV studios. According to We Energies spokesman Brian Manthey,   the outage was caused by damaged equipment that was found inside a switch fuse unit.  It is unclear how the damage occurred. Most customers had power restored by 3:30 p.m., though about 200 customers had to wait until about 4 p.m. The power outage kept WBKV off the air for about three hours.
