Lieutenant Martin Schulteis from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed with WBKV News the name of the 42 year old woman from Newburg who was killed in a two vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. Her name is Becki Sandoval. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department press release, the accident occurred just after 5 a.m., on Highway 33 just east County Trunk M in the town of Trenton. A 41-year-old Milwaukee woman was eastbound on Highway 33 when her car entered a curve and crossed the center line into the westbound lane. She collided head-on with a westbound car driven by Becki Sandoval, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Medical Examiner. The Milwaukee woman was flown to Froedtert Hospital by Flight for Life with serious injuries. Highway 33 was closed to traffic for four and half hours. The reason for the eastbound car operating left of the center line is undetermined at this time. Lieutenant Schulteis told WBKV News that said the Sheriff’s Department is still interviewing the other driver. It is unknown at this time, if the 41 year old woman driver will be issued any citations or if she faces any charges.
