The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office has determined that 38-year-old Sean Held from Slinger died from traumatic asphyxia and blunt force injuries of the pelvis on Wednesday when a garage collapsed on him. His death was ruled an accident. Investigative records released Thursday reveal that the garage that collapsed was badly leaning after braces were removed for construction work. According to the Milwaukee County medical examiner's report, Held had worked for All Around Home Improvement based in Allenton for about one year. The company was hired to fix the garage in Fox Point, which had wind braces to keep it from leaning. Held and a co-worker planned to remove the braces, straighten the garage, install new braces and secure everything with plywood sheeting. The co-worker had removed the braces and was walking to his truck in the driveway when the garage collapsed. The business has not had any other injuries or accidents in the two years since it was founded.
