The West Bend Common Council will be meeting tonight at six thirty in a different location. Tonight’s meeting will be in the West Bend High School Auditorium in order to allow for more seats, as the council will be devoting a portion of the agenda to honor West Bend area veterans. Brian Schultz, a veteran’s committee member outlines the special program which will include speeches by the mayor, the VFW Commander of the West Bend Post and Richard Lindbeck, the President of the Wisconsin Council of Vietnam veterans. Schultz says the mayor will then acknowledge the school district and Superintendent Ted Neitzke, followed by some special proclamations. The program will conclude with a special patriotic music selection by 18 year old Bryce Newmann on his accordion. Veterans and their families will then have some light foods and beverages in the cafeteria, while the council concludes their business.
