2/13 Kewaskum Issues Alert to Prevent Freezing Water Pipes

The Village of Kewaskum has now experienced two frozen water services.  Thawing the frozen line can be very time consuming.  In hopes of preventing frozen water service the Village encourages residents to make sure their water runs at least three times a day. Village Administrator Matt Heiser is requesting that if a resident anticipates being away from their home for a day or more to let some water trickle. Currently these measures are encouraged and not required. Village crews will thaw a frozen line once as part of their service.  Residents who experience a frozen line should anticipate being told to keep their water running and the Village will work with them to offset their water bill.  The Village will charge a resident for repeat thaw service. Please feel free to call the Municipal Building at 626-8484 with any questions.
