A 17-year-old Town of Hartford teen accused of murdering his brother made his Initial Appearance in Washington County court Thursday. Joseph Langlois is charged with First Degree Reckless Homicide with a Dangerous Weapon for the incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the family home. Prosecutors say Langlois fatally stabbed his older brother, 20-year-old Jacob Langlois, after the two argued over who owned video games, knives and other items. Jacob was packing up for Army National Guard training in Georgia. He was found dead laying on his back in a large pool of blood on the kitchen floor. The boys’ mother called 9-1-1 and applied pressure to the puncture wound until officials arrived on scene. Joseph reportedly admitted to investigators that he stabbed his brother because he was angry about losing a fight with him. He will be back in a Washington County courtroom for a preliminary hearing February 17th.
