A Kewaskum man is arrested for his fifth offense OWI along with drug charges following a two car accident in Kewaskum last week. According to a report released by Kewaskum Chief of Police Tom Bishop, the accident happened at Fon Du Lac Avenue and Highway 45 last week Thursday. One of the vehicles was being driven by Keith A. Weidemeyer from Kewaskum. He rear-ended a vehicle driven by a woman. The woman told police that he struck her rear bumper twice. She was taken to an area Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Immediately following the accident, Wiedemeyer’s vehicle was searched. Officers detected the odor of Marijuana. Wiedemeyer was arrested for suspicion of a drug related OWI. Charges have been requested through the Washington County D.A.'s Office for a fifth offense OWI, Operating after Revocation, and Possession of Marijuana. He was also cited for Inattentive Driving. Chief Bishop also stated in his release that ironically, Keith A Wiedmeyer, is the father of Keith L Wiedmeyer who was convicted of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle stemming from a traffic accident in the Village of Kewaskum on Christmas Eve, 2012.
