5/20 Colonel Patrick D.J. Kenney to be Memorial Day Speaker

Several weeks ago, organizers for the annual West Bend Memorial Day parade and program released initial information. They are now announcing that retired Colonel Patrick D.J. Kenny has been slated to be the speaker at the memorial program that will follow the parade. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1959. After graduation he attended West Point Military Academy and went on to have a 27 year career in the Army Corps of Engineers. The program will also include Tamika Wiesner reading the pre-amble to the constitution of the United States; Katelyn Holbrook reciting the Gettysburg Address and Crystal Hakes reading Flanders Field. All three girls attend West Bend West High School. In case of rain on Memorial Day, the program will be held inside the old court house museum.
