5/8 Two Men Arrested on Separate OWI Violations

Two men from West Bend have been arrested on separate OWI charges and according to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend Police Department, both men are repeat offenders. The first violation happened Tuesday night just after eleven pm. Police stopped a car being driven by 29 year old west Bend man at Parkfield and Barton for a routine equipment violation. During the stop the officer detected the odor of intoxicants and the driver had a .02 restriction based on previous OWI arrests.  The driver was arrested for his fourth Offense OWI and was placed in jail. The second repeat violation being reported happened Wednesday morning at about three fifteen am. A 23 year old West Bend man was stopped near Redwood and Madison after driving suspiciously through the neighborhood and around the high school.  Upon questioning, the driver was found to be intoxicated. He failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested for his third Offense OWI.
