6/5 One Killed, One Injured in Head-On Collision Along Highway 33

For the second time in as many days, a motorist is killed while driving their vehicle in Washington County. On Monday afternoon a 58 year old man from West Bend was killed in a two car crash on River Road. The Wisconsin State Patrol is releasing information and confirming that  one person was killed, and one other person was injured following a serious crash on Highway 33 west of Highway 175 in Washington County  near West Bend on Wednesday. The crash happened around three twenty. The State Patrol’s initial report says a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 33 struck a westbound vehicle head on. One person was transported to the hospital in Hartford. That person’s condition is unknown. The names of both victims are being withheld at this time. Emergency rescue crews from Allenton Fire and Rescue; West Bend EMS and the Harford Police assisted on the scene along with the Washington county Sheriff’s Department.  Crews temporarily closed Highway 33 between Highway 175 and County Trunk U. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
