7 /17 CHANGES IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS COMING TO KEWASKUM POLICE

The overall internal leadership position at the Kewaskum Police Department will be changing soon as the village board has approved adding a Lieutenant position to the department force. Chief Tom Bishop says the Lieutenant will be second in command of the department and will be appointed by him and also report directly to him.  Bishop says the new Lieutenant would be chosen from a pool of candidates directly within the department. Kewaskum Police Chief Tom Bishop says until now nobody had that authority. Chief Bishop says the new Lieutenant position will be handled as an internal position and the candidate will take on a few added responsibilities in addition to existing ones. Starting annual salary for the position will be just over $62,000. The candidate will be required to live within 15 miles of the Village of Kewaskum. Chief Bishop would like the new Lieutenant to be in position by the end of September.
