On Wednesday morning at 8:50am., the West Bend Police Department took a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1300 block of Hans St. Two other vehicles had been reported stolen from that area on Monday and Tuesday. At 11:30, West Bend Police were at the Walmart store on Paradise Drive in response to a shoplifting incident. The Officer observed the vehicle reported stolen earlier that morning exiting the parking lot occupied by two males. The Officer initiated a stop of the vehicle however the driver sped off and left the City southbound on Highway 45. The pursuit continued to the Village of Jackson where the vehicle exited and headed east onto Highway 60. The pursuit ended on HWY 60 just east of HWY 41 in the Village of Slinger, when the driver lost control and struck a guardrail. There were no injuries to the occupants of the stolen vehicle. The Jackson Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, and Slinger Police Department assisted in taking two West Bend males, ages 17 and 16 into custody. A third teenage16 year old male, was taken in to custody at the Walmart Store for the Shoplifting incident. The investigation determined that the three young men were responsible for the three stolen vehicles which have been recovered. The three males are in custody at this time. Criminal charges are pending.
