Harley bikers from all over the country are calling West Bend home this weekend as they camp at the Washington County Fair grounds. One of the estimated over 800 guests is Wanda Smithson from Indiana. Wanda has a unique Harley that she rides and was able to describe it to us. The bike is 2001 Police Defender Harley bike. It is a very rare motorcycle and she purchased it directly from the police department. Wanda said the bike used to be used in parades. This marks the second time that Wanda and her friends have camped at the fairgrounds while attending the Harley anniversary and she said its because the accommodations and hospitality are very good. Wanda’s highlights for this trip will be a visit to the Harley Museum today and taking in some of the concerts on Saturday at the Summerfest grounds. She also looks forward to the music at the Washington County Fairgrounds including Jamie Campbell tonight and Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys Saturday night plus Majestic Mudd on Sunday.
