The ALS ice bucket challenged has reached new heights: Homer Simpson has taken part in the viral charity sensation.

The Simpsons posted a video of a shirtless Homer Simpson challenging his neighbor Ned Flanders (twice), his pal Lenny and Donald Trump to do the ALS ice bucket challenge. Homer then dumps a glass of cold water on himself…but it doesn't end there. Enter Bart, a helicopter and everything you associate with ice and the cold.

LAUREN BACALL'S death was sad for a lot of people. But not BERTIE HIGGINS. Because he had one hit song in his life, and it just happened to be about Lauren Bacall. And since she died, sales have jumped 625%!!!

"Key Largo", the 1981 YACHT ROCK classic that includes the line, "We had it all / Just like Bogie and Bacall", sold 3,000 copies in the sales week that ended just five days after Lauren's death.

In the clip, "Breaking Bad" stars Cranston and Paul play pawn shop owners, with Louis-Dreyfus (as herself) trying to sell them one of her Emmy Awards.

Of course, Cranston and Paul have both won Emmys in real life, too.

CHARLIE SHEEN'S Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS was good . . . but DAVE GROHL of the FOO FIGHTERS just blew it out of the water with a very elaborate video, which was inspired by the 1976 horror movie "Carrie".

If you've seen it, you probably know where this is going. In the movie, Carrie is invited to the prom by some dude out of sympathy . . . and the mean girls rig it so that they're named Prom Queen and King.

Then, while they're on stage in front of the crowd, the girls pull on a rope to dump a bucket of pigs' blood they stashed up in the rafters all over Carrie.

In Dave's video, he plays Carrie . . . with a tiara, prom dress and flowers . . . drummer Taylor Hawkins plays her date . . . and fellow Foo Fighters Pat Smear and Nate Mendel play the kids who trigger the bucket drop.

The production value is very high . . . and they even incorporate clips from the actual movie. At the beginning, Dave challenges "Carrie" author Stephen King . . . John Travolta, who was in the movie . . . and Jack Black, well, just because.

Naturally, Dave's bucket is filled with ice water, not blood.

It doesn't quite make it to the part where "Carrie" exacts her revenge by killing everyone, but it does have Taylor getting hit in the head with the bucket, and the repeated line "They're all going to laugh at you!"

(Here's his video . . . and here's the scene from the movie. Dave doesn't reveal how much he's donating, but the video includes a reminder at the end, saying "Remember the reason . . . don't forget to donate after you dry off.")

(As a bonus: For those who like LADIES, Katy Perry did her Ice Bucket Challenge in a black bikini. For those who like DUDES, Trey Songz did his wearing nothing but his briefs.)

(And finally, former "Office" star John Krasinski posted a video of him surprising his wife Emily Blunt by dumping ice water on her as she was carrying some groceries. It would be GREAT . . . but it seems staged.)

f you want to buy a Gatorade around Peyton Manning, you better be prepared to work for it.

In a series of commercials for the sports drink company, Manning plays a gas station manager who refuses to sell anyone a Gatorade unless they have "earned it" with a little sweat.

Manning is a commercial king. He really is.

Mountain biking is dangerous without random obstacles in the way.

Watch this mountain biker come over the top of a blind drop during a practice run, only to find a little kid standing in his path.

CHARLIE SHEEN did the "Ice Bucket Challenge" for ALS yesterday, and as you'd expect, he didn't do it like anybody else.

Instead, Charlie held a big pan over his head . . . and when he flipped it over, $10,000 IN CASH rained down on him. But he wasn't just being a jerk to mock the whole thing . . . he's actually donating all of it.

He explained, quote, "Because, let's face it, ice is going to melt, but this money is going to actually help people."

Then Charlie called out his "Two and a Half Men" buddies . . . Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher, and the show's creator Chuck Lorre . . . challenging them to, quote, "identically do what I just did."

He added, quote, "Come on guys, it's for a great cause."

Legendary "Saturday Night Live" announcer DON PARDO died last night at his home in Tuscon, Arizona. He was 96. No other details of his death were released.

Pardo was with "SNL" from its debut in 1975. But he was already a 31-year veteran at NBC by then. He was also the announcer on the original versions of the game shows "Jeopardy!" and "The Price Is Right".

And he was one of the first people to inform America that PRESIDENT KENNEDY had been shot on November 22nd, 1963.

Pardo was replaced on "SNL" during the 1981 - '82 season, but only missed a handful of other shows due to illness. In 2004 he was given a lifetime contract with NBC. Apparently, he and BOB HOPE were the only two people with that honor.

Don's first name was actually Dominic. But when he got into radio and started going by "Dom" everyone messed it up and called him "Don" instead . . . so he said, "The heck with it; I'll be Don."

Don's wife passed away in 1995, but he's survived by three daughters, two sons, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

(Here's the "SNL" cast celebrating Don's 90th birthday. And here's Don as the announcer in Weird Al Yankovic's "I Lost on Jeopardy" video. He actually appears at 2:30.)

EA Sports dropped a new commercial for Madden NFL 15 on Friday called "Madden Season." It is ... insane.

Headlining it are Kevin Hart and David Franco, who have an, um, fairly intense Madden rivalry. Hart shows up, slaps Franco in the face, ends up running off his girl and trashing his car all because it's time to play Madden.

Franco goes off the deep end -- LET IT BURN! -- while LeSean McCoy, Colin Kaepernick, Dez Bryant and Eddie Lacy rap at a party.

Von Miller appears in the middle of things somewhere, Richard Sherman is involved, there's a DJ who has a bear head rising out of a pool, even NBA star Damian Lillard shows up. ... really it's nuts.

And kind of accurate if you've ever had such an intense Madden rivalry with someone that you would literally put your life on hold, skip class, let everything fall apart in order to beat that person at a video game.
