A whale-watching boat off the coast of Baja California got a little too close to a whale over the weekend.  And when the whale tried to dive, its tail slapped a girl in the HEAD.  But according to the person who posted the video, she was okay.

A pilot named Robert Weber was in his single-engine plane near Fort Meyers, Florida on Saturday when a BIRD smashed through his windshield.  And there's footage of it from INSIDE the cockpit.

He ended up with a small cut on his head from the broken glass, but he was able to land safely.  (Search for "Bird Smashes Plane Windscreen."  It happens at :19, and he lands at 4:12.  Then he starts talking to an air traffic controller about it at 4:48.)

A 61-year-old woman was repeatedly STABBED in her apartment around 3:30 A.M. on Tuesday, in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Luckily she survived . . . but barely.

And a few hours later, the local CBS affiliate went to the woman's apartment complex to cover the stabbing.  The reporter interviewed a neighbor, who said she was SURE the woman's DAUGHTER had done the stabbing.

And less than five minutes later, the daughter saw the news crew, walked up, and confessed to stabbing her mother . . . on camera.

Her name is Katie Nichols, and she's CLEARLY mentally disturbed.  She told the camera, quote, "The satanic cult in this city has been casting satanic spells on me for three, four days . . . I came home and found out my mom was the ringleader and was trying to kill my daughter."

The news crew called the cops, who came and arrested Katie.

(Here's a video of the confession as well as the rest of the news report on the stabbing.)

If you saw a bendy piece of sheet metal stuck in the ground, you’d probably think, “Ugh, what an eyesore.” Goats, as evidenced by this adorable video, think, “OMG! A NEW TOY!” and proceed to turn it into a makeshift metal trampoline.

This is just so perfect. The convulsing of cats as they try to vomit up hairballs matches perfectly with Calabria’s “Drunken Monkey.” It’s videos like this that remind us why we invented the internet in the first place.

A lot of people made fun of Atlanta for basically being brought to its knees by ONE INCH of snow last month.  And now someone's taken news footage about it . . . and turned it into a fake ACTION MOVIE TRAILER.

They also used some real movie footage, and a goat screaming like a human makes a cameo.

JIMMY FALLON brought the "Tonight Show" back to New York City for the first time in almost 42 years last night. He's in JACK PAAR'S old studio; the same studio that JOHNNY CARSON used before he brought the show to California in 1972.

He started off with the PERFECT introduction, saying, quote, "I'm Jimmy Fallon and I'll be your host . . . for now."  (Here's video up through the end of the monologue.  SPIKE LEE directed the opening, by the way.)

He then proceeded to thank the previous "Tonight Show" hosts, which was interesting because he DID mention CONAN O'BRIEN . . . and got a laugh by saying JAY LENO'S name twice.

Then after his monologue, Jimmy sat down at his desk and said that a friend of his owed him $100, because he said Jimmy would never be the host of the "Tonight Show".  Then ROBERT DE NIRO came out and slapped a C-Note on Jimmy's desk.

But he wasn't alone.  One at a time, the following stars came out and did the same thing:  Robert De Niro, Tina Fey, Joe Namath . . . who was NOT wearing a huge fur coat . . . Rudy Giuliani, Mariah Carey, Tracy Morgan, Joan Rivers . . .

Kim Kardashian, Seth Rogen, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mike Tyson, Lady Gaga . . .

And finally, Stephen Colbert, who paid with a bucket full of pennies, which he dumped all over Jimmy.  Then he took a selfie of the two of them and said, quote, "Welcome to 11:30, [B-word]."  That's Colbert's timeslot on Comedy Central.  (Here's video.)

U2 was the musical guest.  They performed twice . . . first they did their new single "Invisible", then they closed out the show with an acoustic version of their Oscar-nominated song "Ordinary Love"

(Jimmy hasn't posted the performance videos yet, but we've got some unofficial links.  You can watch the acoustic "Ordinary Love" here.  And you'll find "Invisible" here.)

("The New York Times" has some great background on the move to New York here.)

(It includes interesting facts like how, when Seth Meyers takes over on "Late Night", this will be the first time those two shows have been in the same building . . . and what problems that might cause.)

We  certainly were busy watching the news right after 9/11,

but  we never saw this "Boat Lift of 9/11" ... You know, in the

years since this happened, this is the first time I've ever

seen  this... I don't ever remember seeing/hearing about this

evacuation  on the news! The fact is, it was all done in 9 hrs.

500,000  people!

This  is a video well worth watching. The guy at the end is  the

same  guy who is at the beginning, with some great words to

live  by for us all.

Watch  till the end. You won't regret it. We will never forget

what  happened that day.

There's a video from 2011 making the rounds online, and it's just footage of curling from the 2006 Winter Olympics inTorino.  But instead of curling stones, someone edited in CATS. What else?
