SANDY, Utah — Utah authorities captured a mountain lion Friday that startled people but didn't hurt anybody at a shopping center in a Salt Lake City suburb.

The mountain lion was spotted walking across a street and into Jordan Commons in Sandy, Utah, just before 8 a.m., Sandy police Sgt. Dean Carriger said.

Officers found the female cat hunkered down at the entrance of a steakhouse. Though it was early, there were dozens of people coming and going, many of whom work at a nearby office building, Carriger said.

Some were taking pictures and videos of the mountain lion while others were unaware the cat was there, he said.

When the cat came running out, an officer fired one shot but missed, Carriger said.

"He was concerned there was imminent danger to the public," Carriger said.

The mountain lion ran away, jumped over a fence and hid in the brush near a commuter train line. Two wildlife officers arrived and cornered the cat with the help of the fences around the train tracks, hitting it with a tranquilizer gun about 1 ½ hours after it was first spotted, Carriger said.

The cat is about 2 years old and weighs about 100 pounds, said Scott Root, spokesman for Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. It was still under the effects of the tranquilizer Friday afternoon. When it awakes, officials plan to release her into the wild in central Utah, Root said.

The cat wasn't acting aggressively and doesn't have a history of being caught, so she'll be given a "second chance," Root said.

Sure a cliff-side Slip n’ Slide looks and sounds like one hell of a time, but…there is no but, this is one hell of a time. However, the video states these jumps were performed by “professionals and under the supervision of professionals” in case any of you try to replicate this at home and maim yourselves in the process.

Police in Salem, New Jersey are looking for a 25-year-old McDonald's worker named Latia Harris.  On Tuesday, someone recorded her beating a woman up while the woman's two-year-old SON watched.

She was still in her McDonald's uniform when it happened.  Apparently she accused the woman of spreading rumors about her and her manager.  And about halfway through the video, the TWO-YEAR-OLD starts kicking Latia, who then threatens to beat HIM up.

North Korea has called the new SETH ROGEN / JAMES FRANCO movie "The Interview" an "act of terrorism and war", because it's about two guys who try to assassinate KIM JONG-UN.  They also claim that if the movie is released, quote, "a merciless counter-measure will be taken."
Seth plays a TV producer, and JAMES FRANCO is an on-air host.  When they get a chance to interview North Korean dictator KIM JONG-UN, the U.S. government asks them to ASSASSINATE him.

Yesterday a spokesman for the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs took a pretty hard stance against the movie.  He said, quote, "Making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated.

"If the US administration allows and defends the showing of the film, a merciless counter-measure will be taken."

There's no word exactly what that "merciless counter-measure" would be.  But I don't know if anyone would mind if James Franco suddenly disappeared.  I'm just sayin', there, Kimmy . . .

Seth doesn't sound too worried.  He Tweeted, quote, "People don't usually wanna kill me for one of my movies until after they've paid 12 bucks for it.  Hiyooooo!!!"

A video of a little kid discovering his EYEBROWS is a hit online right now.  His mom is holding him in front of a mirror, and each time he raises and lowers them, he cracks up.

Wondering how to get your baby crawling? It's simple: Have your dog teach her! A video of a positively adorable baby trying to crawl is making the rounds right now; the reason being her doggie is the one who shows her how it's done.

Check out this hilarious video, and be prepared to lose it at the 17-second mark when the pup doesn't just try to push the babe, but he actually drops to the ground and belly crawls in an effort to teach the little girl. Amazing. But not as amazing as the expression on the baby's face when she sees her beloved pet crawling along.

We’re still deep into Hunger Games territory with the new trailer for The Purge: Anarchy, starring that bad guy in Captain America; The Winter Soldier who didn’t die at the end because they’re planning to turn him into a new super villain. That would be Frank Grillo, who still seems to be playing a vengeful mourning father whose plans for The Purge Night get derailed when he decides to help out some poor people in need.

And we’re off to an entire new Purge kind of plot, with wealthy people running their own underground Purge society where they can kill at leisure. That’s still more plot than we were expecting, and we’re at least really curious to see where this goes…(.it does look way better than the original - BOB)

A stunt pilot in Argentina recently pulled off something COMPLETELY crazy.  There's a video on YouTube where two flags are lying on a patch of grass.  And he flies so close to the ground, he actually picks them up with one of the plane's WINGS.
