With the World Cup happening this summer, we all know what FIFA is. But did you know there's also a FIBA? That's the basketball equivalent, and they have their own World Cup, which starts on the 30th of this month.
Unfortunately for Team USA, they'll have to do it without PAUL GEORGE of the Indiana Pacers. Because he broke his leg during a scrimmage Friday night, and the video is NASTY.
George was chasing down JAMES HARDEN on a fast break, and he ran into the stanchion . . . which is the base of the basket . . . and his right leg SNAPPED.
(WARNING!!! The video is REALLY graphic and also contains uncensored profanity. The break happens at the beginning, then they show a replay at the 1:00 mark. Here are pictures of George's teammates reacting to the injury.)
George had surgery, and he'll probably miss ALL of next season.
Everybody's comparing this to last year's NCAA tournament, when KEVIN WARE of Louisville broke his leg.
