International GODZILLA Trailer Reveals Some Secrets

by Bob posted Apr 30 2014 5:36AM
This international trailer explains how Godzilla comes back into the world and why he's needed. Whether he wants to come back will be revealed by his actions.

What can we expect from this film besides what we've seen in these trailers? Well a recent interview with director Gareth Edwards described his take on the movie monster and what type of character he truly is.

"He's an ancient warrior who's the last of his kind, and his kind has long since died out," Edwards said. "He lives a very solitary lonely existence and he's very happy to keep away from everyone, but we keep doing things to force him to return and put things right."

So expect a Last Samurai feel to this character but in a whole new way.

Here's the official plot synopsis for Godzilla.

An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Gareth Edwards directs "Godzilla," which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Kick-Ass"), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai," "Inception"), Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene"), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche ("The English Patient," "Cosmopolis"), and Sally Hawkins ("Blue Jasmine"), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn ("Good Night, and Good Luck.," "The Bourne Legacy") and Bryan Cranston ("Argo," TV's "Breaking Bad")
