North Korea has called the new SETH ROGEN
/ JAMES FRANCO
movie "The Interview"
an "act of terrorism and war", because it's about two guys who try to assassinate KIM JONG-UN
. They also claim that if the movie is released, quote, "a merciless counter-measure will be taken."
Seth plays a TV producer, and JAMES FRANCO
is an on-air host. When they get a chance to interview North Korean dictator KIM JONG-UN
, the U.S. government asks them to ASSASSINATE him.
Yesterday a spokesman for the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs took a pretty hard stance against the movie. He said, quote, "Making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated.
"If the US administration allows and defends the showing of the film, a merciless counter-measure will be taken."
There's no word exactly what that "merciless counter-measure" would be. But I don't know if anyone would mind if James Franco suddenly disappeared. I'm just sayin', there, Kimmy . . .
Seth doesn't sound too worried. He Tweeted, quote, "People don't usually wanna kill me for one of my movies until after they've paid 12 bucks for it. Hiyooooo!!!"
