BabyCenter.com analyzed the names of the 550,000 babies registered on their site this year, and just released a list of the most popular baby names of 2013.
The most popular name for boys was "Jackson," beating "Aiden," which held the top spot for the last eight YEARS. And "Sophia" topped the girls' list for the fourth year in a row.
For boys, the top 10 names are Jackson, Aiden, Liam, Lucas, Noah, Mason, Jayden, Ethan, Jacob, and Jack.
For girls, it's Sophia, Emma, Olivia, Isabella, Mia, Ava, Lily, Zoe, Emily, and Chloe . . . which is almost exactly the same as last year.
But there WERE some interesting trends. The name "George" was up 37% as a GIRL'S name . . . probably because of the Royal baby, Prince George.
"Kanye" was up almost 40%, "West" was up 22% as a first name, and "Kim" was up 12%. But apparently no one else is naming their baby "North." BabyCenter.com didn't find a single "North" in their database. Also, "Miley" was only up 3%.
And the cast of "Duck Dynasty" made waves, with the name "Korie" rising 89% in popularity, "Mia" 44%, "Phil" 32%, and "Sadie" 23%.
