The Nine Animals That Scare People the Most
HIGHLIGHTS: According to a new survey, the five animals people are most afraid of are: Snakes . . . alligators . . . sharks . . . bears . . . and cockroaches. Somehow, only 2% of people thought spiders were scariest.
FULL STORY: According to a new survey by Public Policy Polling, these are the nine animals people are MOST afraid of:
1. 21% of people said that snakes are the scariest animal.
2. 19% were most afraid of alligators . . . but 6% of people said that they wanted one as a pet?
3. 18% said sharks were the scariest.
4. 14% were most afraid of bears.
5. 11% said cockroaches were scariest.
6. 9% were afraid of tigers . . . but 26% wanted one as a pet.
7. 5% were most afraid of bats.
8. 2% were most afraid of spiders. (Which is INSANE. Shouldn't spiders be in the top TWO?)
9. 1% said WOLVES were the scariest animal.

The following are basic rules governing all contests conducted on WBKV radio. In the event that no other rules are published for a particular contest or promotion, the following rules will apply. In some instances, rules for individual contests and promotions may conflict with these rules in which case, the individual contest rules will take precedence over the basic rules.
1 Limit of one entry per person. One winner per household address.
2. Only official entry forms may be used to enter the contest.
3. All blanks must be filled in accurately or entry may be considered
ineligible.
4. Winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received.
5. Entrants should be aware of the potential tax consequences of winning
any prize. Awards of prizes valued at $600 or more will be reported to
the IRS.
6. By registering, you give WBKV the authorization to use your name,
photo, voice recording or likeness in promotional materials without
further compensation.
7. Employees and immediate family members of WBWI, WBKV, Bliss
Communications and participating sponsors are not eligible to
participate. The term "immediate family" includes spouses,
grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren of the
contestant.
8. The decisions of WBKV station management as to the interpretation of
these rules are final. By participating, contestants agree to be bound
by the decisions of WBKV station management in any disputes arising
from the participation in or execution of the contest.
9. Unless otherwise indicated, prizes must be claimed at the WBKV Studios
at 2410 South Main Street, Suite A in West Bend during regular business
hours within 30 days of winning. Prizes not claimed within 30 days will
not be awarded. Business hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
10. You are eligible to win a contest only once every 30 days. Entries to
any WBKV contest within 30 days of winning a prize will automatically be
void.
11. Failure to comply with any published contest rules is grounds for
immediate disqualification from the contest.
12. No purchase necessary to play. Void where prohibited. |
