8/28 West Bend Police Crimes Arrest Update

A 26-year-old woman from West Bend was arrested on Sunday night for multiple criminal charges. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell from the West Bend Police Department, the owner of La Mexicana
Grocery Store on North Main Street called at about seven fifteen informing them that a woman had stolen their tip jar. She was found a short time later by a patrol officer from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. She was arrested for her first offense OWI and also for possession of narcotic drugs. The West Bend police charged her for theft.
 
A 25-year-old woman from West Bend was arrested Monday night on charges of  child neglect after her two children, ages 6 and 3, were
found walking around a nearby parking lot complex looking for their mother. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend
Police a witness noticed the two children running around the
parking lot located on the city’s north west side at 9:30 p.m., looking for their mother . Following a brief search, the woman was found in
a neighboring apartment complex, looking for alcohol and drugs. Upon questioning from police she registered a point 229 blood alcohol level. In addition to the three and six year old children, a one year old child was found sleeping alone in the home.
