Earlier this week, residents in the Kewaskum School District turned out in great response in order to vote on the proposed tax levy for the 2013 -14 school year. The amount was set at close to 12 million dollars. Kewaskum school District Superintendent Jim Smasal told WBKV News that he is very pleased and grateful that the tax levy was adopted. Smasal said unfortunately the purposed tax levy for this year is about three point two nine percent higher than last year. While the tax levy was adopted, the Kewaskum School Board will be making the final approval at their next meeting in September.
