Another area community holding a memorial ceremony tonight is the Juneau Fire Department. Members of the department will be holding a silent parade tonight at eight in honor of the 12th anniversary of those who lost their lives on his day. The silent parade will begin on Western Avenue, head north and then turn right onto West Oak Grove Street. It will then proceed east and turn right at the four way stop onto South Main and then continue thru town on its way to the Fire station. City street lights along the parade route will be turned off at eight. Citizens are encouraged to line the parade route with lighted candles and American flags. A brief program will be conducted at the station, followed by snacks and refreshments. Members of the Juneau Fire Department have invited fire, EMS and police departments from throughout the state o march in the silent parade. It is their aspirations to have 343 marching personnel to represent the 343 people that lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
