The Kewaskum Police Department and village Hall lost phone services over the weekend. According to Kewaskum Village Administrator Matt Heiser, he was made aware of the situation on Sunday afternoon. Technicians from Frontier Phone Company were notified and they began repair work early Monday morning. The source of the outage was traced to a phone line surge protector which failed and caused the power shortage. Telephone service to both the police department and village hall were restored by ten am. During the phone outage, all calls were temporarily re-routed to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
