Germantown police are reporting two cases of commercial businesses being burglarized over the weekend. According to Germantown Chief of Police Peter Hoell both cases are similar in that windows were smashed to gain entry. The first happened during the early morning hours of Saturday. Police are estimating the crime took place between four forty five and eight thirty. An unknown person used a large rock to smash a window at the Silver Shop on Pilgrim Road. A large amount of jewelry with an undetermined dollar amount was stolen. The second vandalized business happened on Sunday on Mequon Road. The building houses three businesses including Rick’s Oil Change; Jazzercise and Cartridge World. Glass doors were reported to have been smashed by rocks. Germantown police say the initial investigation shows no entry was made. Both cases are now being further investigated by the Germantown Police Department.
