10/21 Armed Robbery at Romie's Service Station in Allenton

Sunday afternoon at 5:46pm the Washinton County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an employee of Romie’s Service located on Main Street in the Allenton Town of Addison reporting they had robbed by a masked subject with a gun.  The employee reported the suspect left on foot and a vehicle was not observed.  Deputies were on scene within a matter of minutes, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect was described as a wearing all black clothing which included shoes, pants, a hoodie or jacket with the hood up, gloves, and a mask covering his/her face.  The suspect demanded the cash drawer from the register and pulled a black pistol when the employee refused.  The employee gave the suspect the cash drawer.  The suspect removed most of the cash and left on foot.  The entire incident took place in approximately 45 seconds. There were a couple customers who witnessed the suspect, but they couldn’t provide any more details about the suspect description other than what the employee already had. The sheriff’s department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information about the incident to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 262-335-4378
