The next meeting of the Kewaskum Village Board, is scheduled for tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Room of the Municipal Building located at 204 First Street. A public hearing is scheduled for the front end of the meeting, but as of now there is not any special topic scheduled. The various department heads will present update reports to the board. Some of those include Fire chief Mark Groeschel with a report on the village’s fire prevention program. Tom Bishop, police chief will conduct a discussion with a possible action on cost of repairs for squad cars and alternative price quotes. Zoning Administrator, Chad Cook will report on recent DPW activities. Village committee representatives will also give reports including Administrative head Richard Knobel, Mike Berger from the library board and Craig Garbisch from the Parks and Recreation. Under old business, village board members will discuss any revisions needed to the draft for the 2014 Village budget. They will also discuss and possibly act on the elimination of the DPW Director’s position and the division of those duties. Several items will be looked at under new business including the discussion and possible action on a resolution for the employee funded portion of the group life insurance to include additional and supplemental life insurance coverage. Tonight’s meeting is open to any resident of the Village of Kewaskum.
