The Village of Richfield will need to search for a new Village Adminsitrator due to the fact that yesterday Josh Schoemann was chosen by the Washington County Board of Supervisors to become the new County Manager. County Board Chairman Herb Tennies, who was on the selection committee, says the board is anxious to start working with him in this new position. Schoemann was one of three finalists out of 22 applicants interviewed last week by the board’s five member Executive Committee. Schoemann was born in Hartford and spent his early childhood in Jackson. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from UW-Whitewater and a master’s degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University. He is married and has two young sons. Schoemann will replace County Administrative Coordinator Douglas Johnson, who is retiring in December.
