An active manhunt is being conducted by The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect being sought is William Rennhack. He is a white male, approximately 21 years old, 6’2”, 170 lbs, red hair and brown eyes. (a photo of him is with this story) According to Dodge County Sheriff Patricia Ninnman at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Deputies were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle. They found the vehicle and a short traffic pursuit ensued involving the Town of Oconomowoc Police Department. A short time later, Rennhack’s vehicle was found in the area of Monroe and Lafollette Road in the Town of Lebanon, Dodge County. Rennhack fled on foot and Sheriff Deputies began a search of the area. As of 8:30 Wednesday night Sheriff Deputies discontinued their active search of the area in the Village of Ashippun. Sheriff Ninnman says they plan to continue their search today. The Dodge County Sheriff’s office is issuing a warning to all citizens. Rennhack is potentially armed and has active warrants for his arrest. If Rennhack is seen citizens should not atempt to make any contact, instead call 911 immediately and report the location. The sheriff’s department is especially urging citizens in the area of Monroe and Lafollette Roads, and including the Village of Ashippun and nearby surrounding areas, to secure their homes and garages. Make certain your vehicles are locked and secure.
