10/30 Armed Robbery at Harford Gas Station

On Tuesday morning at about 10:15 am Hartford police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Stop N Go gas station located on Grand Avenue. According to the report issued by the Hartford Police Department, the suspect is being described as a thin, white man, about 6 feet tall, who has bright blue eyes and collar- length curly brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Hartford Police Chief David Groves said the man entered the Stop-N-Go gas station Tuesday morning showed a knife and demanded cash from the register. The man was given an undetermined amount of cash and then ran away on foot. The Stop-N-Go manager followed the man long enough to see him enter an older white Mercury Sable or similar-looking vehicle. Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the incident to call the Hartford Police Department at 673-2600, or call the Washington County Law Enforcement tip line at (800) 232-0594. Tips can be given anonymously and information leading to an arrest may be rewarded. Hartford Police Chief David Groves also said “Nobody was injured.” and the robbery seems to be an isolated incident as there have not been any similar reports.
