The first of two scheduled meetings in the month of November for the Kewaskum Village Board is scheduled for tonight. The various department heads will give updated reports including Fire Chief Mark Groeschel and Police Chief Thomas Bishop. Chief Groeschel will conduct a discussion and move for the possible actions on the pay schedule for the Kewaskum Rescue squad crew. He will also give an update on the sale of the village’s 1980 tanker and the direction of its replacement. Police Chief Bishop is expected to give a brief report on last week’s Trick or Treat event. Village Administrator Matt Heiser will give an update on his Administrator’s goals including a discussion to the revisions being made to the employee handbook. A few items will be addressed in Old Business including a discussion and possible action on allowing the building inspector to perform duties for the Village of Campbellsport. Items of concern to be addressed in new business include the discussion and possible action on filling the vacant trustee seat that is now available due to the resignation of village trustee Joel Serwe. The board meeting will begin at seven tonight in the Council Room of the Municipal Building at 204 First Street. It is open to Kewaskum residents.
