A 23 year old woman from West Bend was taken into custody Monday morning at about two fifteen am following a single car accident. According to the report from the Washington County Sheriff’s department, the woman was traveling along highway 45 at Decorah Road when she apparently lost control of the car, bounced it off the guard rail crossed through median and struck the opposite guard rail causing significant damage to her vehicle. Despite the fact that she denied any injury, she was transported to St Joes Hospital where she became resistive after the Deputy discovered she had outstanding warrants. The Deputy contacted her mother who was the registered owner. The mother stated she took the car without her consent. The woman was taken into custody and held on the warrants and obstructing justice charges and the operation of a vehicle without owner's consent. The charges have been referred to the DA's Office.
