On Friday afternoon at, about 4:15 PM officers of the West Bend Police Department responded to the intersection of North Main St. and Rivershores Drive for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. The immediate Investigation determined that a southbound vehicle on North Main Street was turning east onto Rivershores Drive when a bicyclist, being operated northbound on the sidewalk on North Main St., suddenly entered the crosswalk to cross Rivershores Drive. The motorist abruptly stopped his vehicle before striking the bicyclist. The bicyclist then attempted to stop quickly, causing him to be ejected from the bicycle onto the pavement. He sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured. The 44 year old male bicyclist was cited for pedestrian (bicyclist) failing to yield.
