After a successful four year run in Oshkosh, for the next five years, Deerfest will be calling the Washington County Fair Park home. Deerfest is one of the country’s largest all-deer festivals with an annual attendance of almost 20,000. Owner Hugh McAloon of Big Mac Media said they basically had outgrown their facilities in Oshkosh and that the facilities are second-to-none in Washington County at the fairgrounds. DeerFest will be the second largest annual event at the Fair Park behind the Washington County Fair, which draws more than 85,000 people over six days. Washington County Fair Park Executive Director Sandy Lang said “This fits our goal of attracting events that are on the grounds multiple days for multiple years. DeerFest 2014 will take place August 8-10. For more information, go to the website www.deerfestwi.com.
