The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is reporting they arrested three different people for operating while intoxicated between Thursday night and Friday morning. The first incident occurred Thursday night at about 10:05pm near Highway 41 north of the Highway 41/45 split in the village of Richfield. A witness told sheriff deputies that the car being driven by a 28 year old man from West Allis was traveling North on 41 at a very high rate of speed before the car lost control and rolled over. The driver from West Allis ended up being flighted to Froedtert. He was in and out of consciousness. His passenger, a 35 year old Village of Slinger man, was transported by ambulance with a leg injury. Neither person’s injury appears to be very serious. The driver was arrested for his second offense OWI, Reckless driving and likely Causing Injury by OWI. The next OWI took place Thursday night at about 11:40 p.m. A 32-year-old town of Hartford man lost control of his car and hit an electric pole on Highway 144 in the town of Wayne. He was given a breathalyzer test and blew two times over the legal limit. He was arrested for an OWI. The third OWI violation happened Friday morning at about one ten am. A 41-year-old village of Richfield woman drove her car into a ditch along Highway 167 in the Town of Erin. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
