12/19 Strong-Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

On Friday December 13th at 8:10pm, a fifty-six year old female West Bend area resident was exiting Pick and Save-South and was approached by a male suspect who grabbed her purse and attempted to pull it away from her. The victim was able to hold on to the purse and the male suspect fled after the purse’s strap broke. The victim reported observing the male standing in the entry area using a cell phone when she entered the store and stated she was being followed in the store by a female suspect who was also using a cell phone. The suspects were believed to have fled in a vehicle being operated by a third suspect. With the cooperation of many of the area businesses, officers were able to locate surveillance video of the three suspects and their vehicle. Based on those images and witness statements, officers were able to develop investigative leads and began searching for the suspects. On Tuesday, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle. The officer approached the vehicle and located the three suspects.  They were taken into custody without incident and brought to the police department for questioning. All three suspects confessed to their role in the robbery.
