On Tuesday afternoon at about one pm Germantown Police were dispatched to a home on Winsor Court to check in on the welfare of a 25 year old man who lives there. After officers gained entry into the home they located the man and determined he was deceased. Officers determined that certain factors in the home seemed suspicious in nature and unsure of how the man had died, they called for backup from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s bomb squad in order to secure the scene and make sure it was safe to continue their investigation. One neighboring condo unit was evacuated as a precautionary movement, but according to Germantown Police Chief Peter Hoell, at no time was anyone in danger. The scene was found to be safe and the investigation continued. The exact cause of the man’s death is undetermined at this time. An autopsy will be conducted in the next few days. Chief Hoell does not suspect foul play as a contributing factor.
