1/24 Hartford Woman Arrested for OWI After Crash

The Washington County Sheriff's Department received call from witnesses  at about 1240 am Thursday morning reporting a vehicle  had spun out on 41 just south of the  41- 45 . Reports had the vehicle traveling in excess of 100 mph. Upon arrival, deputies found the car's driver, a 19 year old City of Hartford woman, the lone occupant of the vehicle. They determined she was impaired and uninjured.  The woman had struck a guardrail on both sides of the highway. She stated she had drank at Applebee's in Milwaukee and believed she was traveling southbound in the City of Milwaukee during questioning by the officers. She was transported to Slinger Police Department for field sobriety testing and arrested for a first offense OWI . During the testing, she became uncooperative refused a PBT and Intox, and also refused to provide any phone numbers for a responsible party. She was transported to the Washington County jail for a 12 hour hold. While en route to jail she became belligerent cursing out the deputy and kicking the cage of the squad. She was escorted into the jail by staff and turned over without further incident.  Several traffic citations in addition to the OWI were issued.
