West Bend Police were kept busy over the weekend with several types of criminal complaints. A Watertown man was arrested on the city’s southwest side on Sunday night for stalking a 19-year-old West Bend woman. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend Police at about six pm they were notified that the 30-year-old Watertown man was following the woman. Police records indicated the couple dated at one time and had a hard break-up. The man was warned not to have contact with the woman. The man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and stalking. Police also arrested a 29 year old man from West Bend after they found a knife and open intoxicants in his car. According to Lieutenant Hartwell, Police stopped the man Saturday night at about seven forty in the 1500 block of Washington Street for driving without a license. The man’s license was revoked from an operating while intoxicated conviction and he is supposed to have an ignition interlock device in his car, but he didn’t have one. Upon further investigation, police discovered the man had open intoxicants in his car, along with a knife and tramadol, which is a narcotic pain reliever. The man was taken to jail for operating after revocation, tampering with an ignition interlock device, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of controlled substances.
