2/4 Motor Vehicle Crash and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia

West Bend Police recorded four notable criminal arrests over the weekend including three for OWI and one for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend Police Department reports that Saturday afternoon at about two forty An 18 year old West Bend female, , was initially stopped  at Paradise Drive & Stonebridge Road for not wearing her seat belt.  During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana.  A search of the woman’s vehicle discovered 5 grams of marijuana and two marijuana pipes.  The 18 year old woman was cited for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lieutenant Hartwell also reports, Saturday night shortly after 8pm a 65 year old female, from Jackson, struck the traffic signal at 7th & Paradise. She then side-swiped another vehicle, hit a street sign and finally stopped after hitting a tree. Upon arriving at the accident scene, officers questioned the woman and determined that she was was impaired due to medications. She was cited for her 1st Offense OWI
