A West Bend woman accused of fleeing the scene after striking and severely injuring a pedestrian in Beaver Dam was said to be the designated driver. 21-year-old Stephanie Goltz is being held on a $2500 cash bond after making her Initial court appearance Friday on two felony charges of Hit and Run Causing Great Bodily Harm and Knowingly Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License. According to the police report, a Beaver Dam man was struck by a dark-colored sedan on Madison Street last week. The victim went over the hood, on top of the vehicle and was said to be caught up in the wheel well. The offending vehicle never stopped and sped away toward Highway 151.The attorney for a passenger contacted police the next day. The passenger said Goltz was the designated driver and drank water most of the night but also maybe drank a beer or two. Goltz turned herself in on Wednesday. A judge will decide in March if there is enough evidence to order a trial.
