2/5 Arguments Between Two Hartford Brothers Leads to a Stabbing Death

A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death Tuesday in the Town of Hartford by his 17-year-old brother. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office the stabbing was reported following an argument at a residence shortly before 2 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies and Hartford Rescue were dispatched to the scene.The male victim was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Hartford and subsequently transferred to Aurora Medical Center in Summit via Flight for Life.  The 17-year old brother was taken into custody and transported back to the Sheriff’s Office for interviewing. At approximately 5:00 p.m. investigators from the Sheriff’s Office learned that the 20 year old Town of Hartford man had died from his injuries while in surgery at Aurora Medical Center in Summit.  His 17 year old brother, also of the Town of Hartford, is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a charge of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide While Armed.  The matter remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
