2/11 West Bend Police Deal with Retail Theft and Second Offense OWI

West Bend Police are reporting a few crime incidents that happened late last week, On Thursday night at about 915pm police were called to the Walmart store on Paradise Drive. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell, an 18 year old man from, Jackson, concealed an Iphone 5 case and left the store without paying for the merchandise.  The man was stopped by loss prevention agents and held until the police arrived.  He was issued a citation for Retail Theft. Then on Friday the weekend got off to a bad start for a 29 year old man from Campbellsport. Lieutenant Hartwell tells WBKV News that the man was stopped initially for speeding at Washington and 18th. Upon questioning, officers determined he had been drinking. He was given and failed the field sobriety tests. He was arrested for his 2nd Offense OWI and was placed in jail following the blood test.
