2/14 Student Plants Bomb Scare at Badger Middle School

On Thursday morning at 9:45am the West Bend Police Department was called to Badger Middle School on South 6th Avenue after a male student found a suspicious object and related writings in a bathroom. Police and School Staff evacuated the area and placed the school on lock down.   An investigation aided by school surveillance videos allowed officials to identify a 14 year old male student as a suspect.  The investigation determined the object was not a threat to students, faculty or anyone else in the school. The young boy admitted to the note saying he didn’t think it would be a serious deal. The student was taken in to custody and charged with Bomb Scares, Disorderly Conduct and Graffiti. West Bend School District Superintendent Ted Neitzke(nights-key)  said additional disciplinary actions against the 14 year old boy  by the school district will be following after  he meets with the  principal.
