2/19 Oshkosh Couple Arrested for Shoplifting and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Despite the snow storm on Monday afternoon, West Bend Police were kept busy with several criminal arrests. The first case happened at about two forty at the Shopko store on South Main Street. According to the report provided by Lieutenant Michael Hartwell, A 22 year old Oshkosh woman, was at Shopko and stole some merchandise.  The vehicle the she fled in was stopped on 7th Avenue at Vine Street.  A 29 year old man from Oshkosh was also in the vehicle.  During a search, of the car, some drug paraphernalia was found on both individuals.  The female was placed in jail for Retail Theft, 3 counts of Bail Jumping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The male was placed in jail for Bail Jumping, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Probation Hold. Less than an hour later at three thirty,  a 25 year old male and a 26 year old female, husband and wife, had gotten into a verbal argument at their home on the south east side of town..  When the woman said she was going to call the police, the man verbally threatened her with a knife.  When taken into custody, the man claimed that the female had caused an injury to him with hot candle wax, but an investigation determined that the man was lying about the injury to get her into trouble.  He was placed in jail and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Battery, Intimidation of Victim and Obstructing justice.  The woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
