3/18 West Bend Police Have Busy Pre St. Paddy's Day Weekend

West Bend Police were kept busy over the weekend with a series of arrests involving revelers in the St. Patrick’s Day party mode.  According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell, the first incident happened Friday night just after seven on the city’s North West Side. Two 16 year old males from West Bend, were arrested for theft after stealing a container of grilled hamburgers off a grill at a residence and running away.  The two teens were caught and the police were called. They were both were cited for theft.  Early Saturday morning at two forty police stopped a car driven by a 26 year old West Bend man at the intersection Park Avenue & Green Tree Road for failure to observe a stop sign. Upon questioning, the man was found to be intoxicated. He failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested for his first Offense OWI. Finally on Saturday night at six forty, a 23 year old man, , was arrested for Disorderly Conduct after becoming involved in an altercation with his mother after she told him that he had to move out.  The man became outraged and pulled the phone cord from the wall to prevent her from calling the police and threw her purse at her.  When police did arrive at the residence, they arrested the 23 year old man for Disorderly Conduct.
