After experiencing a rather quiet first portion of the weekend, the calls and arrests managed to keep West Bend Police rather busy during the later portion. Sunday morning just after midnight, a 51 year old West Bend man was stopped at the intersection of West Washington and Villa Park for making an unsafe lane deviation. Upon questioning by officers, the driver was determined to be intoxicated. He failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested for his first Offense OWI and was placed in jail on a 12 hour hold. Later in the day at seven pm, a 37 year old woman locked her 40 year old male roommate out of their apartment on the North East side by holding the deadbolt from the inside preventing him from using his key. The police were called and the woman also held the deadbolt preventing police from entering. Entry was eventually made to the apartment and the female was found hiding and holding a bedroom closet door. She was arrested and placed in jail for resisting an Officer and two outstanding warrants from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department totaling over $7,300. The 40 year old man was also arrested on a warrant from the Slinger Police Department for $114. He posted bail and was released.
